Alliance Wellness Center is committed to showing up for the communities we serve — through education, partnerships, events, and direct engagement across the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota.
Rooted in Community
We believe that healing doesn't happen in isolation. It happens in community — through trusted relationships, shared knowledge, and collective support. Our outreach work is an extension of our clinical mission: to reduce barriers to care, reduce stigma, and make sure every person in our community knows that help is available and that they are not alone.
Our Outreach Initiatives
From community education to workforce development, here is how we show up for the communities we serve.
Mental Health Awareness Presentations
Our clinical team delivers free mental health and substance use education presentations to schools, faith communities, cultural organizations, and community groups across the Twin Cities. Topics include recognizing signs of mental health challenges, understanding substance use disorder, how to support a loved one, and how to access care.
East African Community Engagement
Alliance Wellness Center has deep roots in East African communities across Minnesota, including Somali, Ethiopian, and Eritrean communities. We partner with community leaders, mosques, cultural centers, and trusted organizations to provide culturally grounded mental health education and to connect community members with appropriate care — in their language and on their terms.
Recovery Month Community Events
Each September, Alliance Wellness Center participates in and supports National Recovery Month events across Minnesota. We join community walks, resource fairs, and awareness events to celebrate recovery, honor those still struggling, and connect people with the support they need. Recovery is possible — and we want the whole community to know it.
Provider & Referral Partnerships
We work closely with hospitals, clinics, social service agencies, courts, schools, and other healthcare providers to ensure smooth referrals and coordinated care for individuals who need mental health or substance use treatment. If you are a provider looking to establish a referral relationship with Alliance Wellness Center, we welcome the conversation.
Internship & Practicum Program
Alliance Wellness Center hosts graduate-level interns and practicum students from social work, counseling, and psychology programs across Minnesota. We are committed to training the next generation of culturally responsive clinicians — particularly those from communities that are underrepresented in the mental health workforce.
Community Stigma Reduction Efforts
Stigma remains one of the greatest barriers to seeking mental health and addiction treatment — particularly in communities of color and immigrant communities. Alliance Wellness Center actively works to reduce stigma through community conversations, educational materials, and by modeling what compassionate, judgment-free care looks like.
